02 By hand
Cutting is not delegated
Diletta was a pattern maker for the big swimwear companies of the area. Here she still cuts herself.
03 Hours, not minutes
A cup is worked round by round
Alma's crochet is made by hand, and underneath there is a real cup, with an underwire.
04 On the form
Tried on before it ships
Every piece goes on the dress form. If it is made to measure, it goes on your three numbers.
05 Premium lycra
A fabric that keeps its shape
Eighty per cent polyamide, twenty elastane: it takes salt and chlorine, and dries fast.
06 On the beach
Where it was meant to arrive
Alma on a sunbed in the sun. A limited run, like everything else.
Step 01
The colours
Every colour has a name
Bougainvillea, Cielo, Terra, Riva, Etiopia. This year's colours, taken from the photographs of the pieces. Pick one.
Your size
Three measurements and you know
Bust, waist and hips in centimetres: the chart does the rest. If you fall between two sizes you do not choose: we make it to measure.
The chart covers bikinis, one-pieces and Mini Me. Dresses and sarongs come in two sizes, XS-S and M-L.

The story
It started with a misunderstanding
Attelid made patterns and small runs for other companies. On Instagram people thought it made swimwear to measure, and kept asking. Diletta did not correct them: she listened. That is how Helemid began.

From the people wearing it
I liked this swimsuit right away: the colour combination is perfect and both pieces are comfortable and easy to adjust. The crocheted cups add something that sets it apart from an ordinary swimsuit. The designer is genuinely kind and helpful.
Extremely happy with how fast it arrived and with the quality of the fabric. The print and the colours are simply beautiful. The cherry on top: a personalised note on the label. I will buy again.
I had been looking for a one-piece in this colour for a long time, one that would work for a curvier figure. Once on, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the fit.
